Hey yo so this is the Umbreon that I posted those sketches for a month or so ago! This was a painting done for 649 Monsters which was an amazing show that ran this weekend featuring 80+ pieces from a great many amazing artists and Pokefans! The proceeds from the show went to Child’s Play charity, and the print of my Umbreon sold for $75! Very exciting news!
I hope that the show gets to come back next year and I will be more than happy to contribute again. It was a lot of fun doing this painting and I’m holding on to the original for now because I did not realize it was an option to send it in. ;-;
I think people who’ve followed this blog for a while know my affinity for drawing weird Umbreons, and it’s only growing. Here’s a bunch of weird Umbreons I drew to get some ideas for a project I’m working on that I probably won’t get to share for a month or two. But until then… have some bendy Jackal/Coyote Umbreons!
I only have one more in this set to do and then I’m FINISHED YES
I bought some matting for the pictures, because it would look more professional? I guess? I also slipped in a sheet of plastic between the picture and the matte, so now each picture has a shiny, animation cel quality to it. This is the first time I’ve mounted any of my work. and I liked it. I ended up buying several more pre-cut mattes, so I can mount some other work too. I think they will look vurr preddy :3c
Once I finally finish the last piece I can tell you guys what all this nonsense is about.
